Some 3D Monitors, 3D Projectors, 3D Adapters or 3D TVs may not be recognized by your 3D Graphics hardware in your PC for all HDMI 1.4a 3D features such as 3D Gaming.
Your specific hardware combination may not have OEM support if you are able to watch BluRay 3D movies with Cyberlink or Stereoscopic player, but are unable to play 3D games and certain 3D media using Nvidia 3DTV Play or AMD 3D HD (Tridef 3D Media player or iz3D).
To solve this problem, you may use a Gefen HDMI Detective programmed with a supported model that you own that appears on the graphics hardware manufacturer's supported model list. You will need to place the programmed Gefen in-between your 3D monitor, projector or 3D TV and your PC.
The connections should be:
3D PC HDMI Out to Gefen HDMI IN
Gefen HDMI Out to 3D TV or 3D Adapter HDMI IN.
You must use a proper Gefen EDID that is compatible with the same native modes as your 3D TV, 3D Adapter or 3D Monitor.
Some features offered by Nvidia 3DTV Play or AMD 3D HD technology for stereoscopic 3D games and media may not work with all 3D TVs. Both Nvidia and AMD have a list of supported 3D TVs for their 3D Software. Currently both platforms check the 3D TV display ID, called the EDID, upon connection to the PC. If your 3D TV is not on their current list, then you may experience very limited 3D support. BluRay 3D support is very flexible with both Nvidia and AMD 3D stereo enabled graphics cards thanks to universal hdmi 1.4a support being offered directly from software such as Cyberlink PowerDVD 11 Ultra, Cyberlink PowerDVD 10 Ultra 3D or from other providers such as ArcSoft.
